Mubadala Investment Fund, the main shareholder of Getir from the United Arab Emirates, has taken the next step in the group’s asset sale strategy. Following the completion of the sale of Getir Araç last month, the fund has now reached an agreement to sell the Getir Yemek platform to the U.S.-based Uber Eats. According to reports, the parties have already reached a preliminary agreement, and the documents have been submitted to Turkey’s Competition Authority for final approval.

The financial terms and conditions of the deal have not yet been disclosed to the public, and the details of the process remain confidential. Representatives from both Uber and Mubadala have not responded to official inquiries on the matter. However, sources confirm that the final decision will be determined after the relevant government authority completes its review.

This merger will significantly strengthen Uber’s position in the Turkish market. In May, the company had agreed to acquire 85% of Trendyol Go’s shares for $700 million. If the Getir Yemek sale is finalized, Uber Eats will combine two of Turkey’s largest delivery platforms under its umbrella. The main competitor in the market would then remain Yemeksepeti, owned by Germany’s Delivery Hero.

Meanwhile, Mubadala continues to implement structural changes within Getir. The sale of Getir Araç to Tiktak has already been fully completed. It is also reported that the fund is currently in talks with potential buyers for Getir Finans.
