Google AI Plus Launches in 36 New Countries, Including Azerbaijan and Turkey

Google has expanded its more affordable AI service, Google AI Plus, to 36 new countries, bringing the total coverage to 77 nations. This new wave of expansion includes Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Iraq, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Thailand — markets known for their price sensitivity.

Google AI Plus offers users a more budget-friendly alternative to the Gemini AI Pro plan, providing easier access to Google’s latest AI models and tools.

Within the plan, users gain higher usage limits for the Nano Banana visual generation and editing model, as well as access to video creation tools like Flow and Whisk within the Gemini app. Additional benefits include Gemini integration in Gmail and Docs, expanded resources and personalization options in NotebookLM, and 200 GB of cloud storage.

Subscribers also benefit from the advanced Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which offers deeper research capabilities, enhanced voice summaries, and improved notebook functions. However, Gemini-specific features are available only to the primary account holder, while cloud storage can be shared with up to five family members.

Although prices vary by region, Google AI Plus is positioned below the $20-per-month AI Pro plan, and new users receive a 50% discount for the first six months.

Google aims to position this plan in price-sensitive markets, similar to how OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan targets select regions. Starting today, users in Azerbaijan, Turkey, and other included countries can sign up for Google AI Plus.
