In August, more than 30 million malicious connections were recorded

The State Service for Special Communications and Information Security (SSSCIS) continues to work consistently to protect state information resources from cyber threats.

In August of this year, monitoring and analysis by SSSCIS identified 39 indicators of cyberattacks. By blocking these indicators, planned and targeted APT (“Advanced Persistent Threat”) cyberattacks against state institutions were prevented.

During August, SSSCIS took measures that blocked 31,759,074 malicious connections on the “AzStateNet” network, 8,408 harmful electronic documents through the “Sandbox” protection system, and 2,850,500 malicious activities via the centralized security solution for end users in state institutions.

Additionally, using cyber intelligence, 2 fake domains imitating state institutions’ domains were detected and blocked in August.

SSSCIS continues to implement proactive and ongoing measures in information security to ensure that state institutions can operate safely and without interruptions in the digital environment.
