The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia and the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) want to create a "Letter with a prisoner" service to communicate with prisoners on the "State Services" portal. With this initiative, the Association (APPSIM) said that through the service, citizens will be able to communicate with prisoners, transfer funds to them and subscribe to newspapers.
APPSIM added that there are some problems with the existing commercial services, and provision of such services on the basis of "Government Services" will increase security and strengthen citizens' trust in the state. The association also said that it is ready to discuss options for consulting and cooperation for the implementation of this initiative.
