The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Kazakhstan has put the Tesla Cybertruck electric vehicle into operation in rescue operations. According to the management of the institution, it has already been tested in emergency situations, mainly in Almaty, and its effectiveness has been achieved.
Assistant Minister of the MES Yerbolat Sadyrbayev said that the Cybertruck has proven itself in those requiring operational response. With its help, it is important to use equipment that provides high speed and maneuverability, since every minute plays a crucial role in saving people's energy.
The ministry explains the choice of the electric vehicle by its high performance, ability to handle difficult terrain, silent operation and power supply of rescue equipment. According to local media, the cost of one Cybertruck is about 120 million manat.
In addition, the car is also used as a mobile command and reconnaissance point. It is equipped with satellite Internet, drones equipped with thermal cameras, special communication systems, protected computing equipment and independent energy capabilities. These capabilities allow rescuers to set up a mobile headquarters near the emergency zone.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasizes that the Cybertruck does not replace firefighting, emergency medical services and other rescue equipment. The car is being kept as additional operational support.
The minister also ruled out the possibility of purchasing a new Cybertruck. He noted that the structure continues its policy of updating its fleet of equipment and focuses on the quality of its main spare equipment.
