A Kazakhstan-based startup, Armeta AI, which develops artificial intelligence technology to automate the expert review of construction projects, has been accepted into the prestigious Alchemist Accelerator program in San Francisco, USA. The startup has also successfully raised $1 million in investment from a US-Qatar venture fund.
Armeta AI is an AI-powered platform that automates the review and approval process of construction projects — one of the most complex and time-consuming procedures for government agencies and major developers worldwide. The startup is owned by Armeta Inc. (USA) and was founded by Temirlan Rakhmetzhanov, Sanzhar Rakhmetzhanov, and Nuraly Baktygaliyev, all citizens of Kazakhstan.
Founded in July 2025, Armeta AI already operates offices in San Francisco, Astana, and Doha. The startup’s mission is to automate critical workflows of government institutions and large enterprises through artificial intelligence. The team’s first focus area is the construction permitting system, as it represents one of the main bottlenecks that directly impacts infrastructure development and investment in any country.
To achieve high precision and reliability, the startup develops its own fundamental AI models while also customizing open-source solutions using multi-agent technologies. The Alchemist Accelerator, to which Armeta AI has been admitted, is recognized as one of the world’s leading programs for B2B (business-to-business) and deep-tech startups.
Armeta AI’s next step is to open new branches in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. In line with this goal, the startup plans to register a subsidiary in Azerbaijan and enter the local market in the near future. The team has already been invited to deliver several presentations and aims to establish long-term partnerships with the Azerbaijani government and major local enterprises.
One of the founders, Sanzhar Rakhmetzhanov, is a well-known entrepreneur in Kazakhstan’s industrial technology sector. His son, Arlan Rakhmetzhanov, is the founder of Nozomio, a startup that previously graduated from Y Combinator and raised $6.5 million from leading Silicon Valley venture funds.
These achievements mark a new chapter in the development of Kazakhstan’s deep-tech ecosystem, with Armeta AI emerging as the country’s next global success story on the world technology map.
