Lotus has introduced ultra-fast charging stations that can charge electric cars like phones.

Lotus has announced a new generation of chargers for electric cars. These charging stations will be available worldwide next year. The 450 kW ultra-fast charging technology is designed for charging stations and home users. Charging systems are distinguished by the ability to charge four cars at the same time.

Lotus' next-generation charging stations offer ultra-high charging speeds with the integration of a liquid cooling system, without compromising performance and safety standards. According to Lotus, the Lotus Eletre R model filled with these charging stations will be able to travel approximately 140 kilometers in just 5 minutes of charging. The 350 kW module will charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

According to Lotus, these charging stations are adapted to different environments. While a wall charger option is offered for home users, cab-type models will be preferred in highway recreation facilities. Stations in city centers will use ports that can charge up to four cars at a time.

Lotus' next-generation charging stations, which will initially be launched in China, will be rolled out to much of Europe and the Middle East over the next year.
