MIT (Turkey) rescued the Palestinian hacker who "hacked" the "Iron Dome"

The National Intelligence Service rescued the Palestinian who broke Israel's "Iron Dome" air defense system in Malaysia, where he was captured.
The details of the incident that took place in 2015-2016 have become known. Israel's Foreign Intelligence Organization Mossad identified the hacker as Palestinian Omar A. and started tracking him. The Palestinian hacker came to Turkey through Egypt in 2020. Mossad located Omar A. and contacted him under the pretext of a job offer. Their goal was not to cooperate with hackers, but to arrest them. However, Omar rejected the job offers. Suspicious of the negotiations, MIT intervened, and Omar, a Palestinian hacker, was warned not to travel abroad.

In September 2022, Omar planned to take a 15-day vacation to Malaysia. For this reason, MIT Istanbul Regional Directorate has installed a program on his phone that will give a signal about his whereabouts even if it is turned off.

MIT's suspicions were justified and Omar was kidnapped in Malaysia. Omar was interrogated by Israeli intelligence officers in the mountain house. During the 36-hour interrogation, he was asked how he infiltrated the Iron Dome. After that, MIT contacted Malaysian officials. The hacker was saved by the raid.
11 people were arrested in connection with the incident, hacker Omar was placed under protection in a safe house in Turkey.
