Nozomio, a startup, has announced that it has raised $6.2 million in a seed funding round led by prominent investors including CRV, BoxGroup, and LocalGlobe.
The founder explains that while still in high school, he aimed to create an AI agent capable of analyzing multiple code sources but faced setbacks. However, he realized a critical need for every programmer using AI tools: the right context (relevant knowledge base).
AI agents often mix up code versions or become overloaded with unnecessary information when generating code. To address this problem, the founder developed the first version of Nia, a technology that enhances the performance of AI agents. He believes that the lack of proper context is the main reason AI systems have yet to surpass human intelligence in coding. The founder claims that Nia has already improved the efficiency of code agents by at least 30%, with the goal of increasing this figure 100-fold (100x).
Nozomio’s investment round also included participation from Y Combinator and 20VC Product. The startup is backed by world-class individual investors such as Paul Graham (founder of Y Combinator), Gustav Söderström (CTO of Spotify), and Thomas Wolf (co-founder of Hugging Face). It also receives support from individuals affiliated with tech giants such as OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Microsoft.
Currently, the founder is working alone and has announced that the team will remain under 20 employees until the company’s IPO. He is recruiting talented individuals who want to join this ambitious mission.
