OpenAI creates $4 billion new company for the corporate AI market

OpenAI has created a new company to accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions for corporate clients. It is reported that a total of $ 4 billion has been invested in the launch of the organization called “OpenAI Deployment Company”.

The company will also acquire the consulting company Tomoro, which it supported in 2023, in order to enter the market faster. According to the report, about 150 experienced specialists from Tomoro’s staff will be involved in the new structure.

The new organization will help large corporate clients build and implement artificial intelligence systems. To do this, the company will allocate special AI engineers to clients, as well as collaborate with other companies to identify areas where artificial intelligence can have the greatest impact in various areas.

According to the report, OpenAI aims to strengthen competition with Anthropic, one of the main competitors in the corporate AI market. According to the Financial Times, OpenAI plans to increase the number of employees from 4,500 to 8,000 by the end of 2026. The company expects about half of its revenue to come from business customers, which is currently around 40%.

OpenAI raised $122 billion in a funding round in April at a valuation of $852 billion. Anthropic raised $30 billion in its latest funding round in February 2026 at a valuation of $380 billion.
