ProductHunt's ex-CEO is launching a new fund

Former Product Hunt CEO Josh Buckley plans to raise $250 million for the fourth time.

Josh Buckley, the former CEO of Product Hunt, has launched his fourth venture capital firm, Buckley Ventures, with the goal of raising $250 million. This was reported with reference to regulatory documents.

Buckley's targets for this fund are lower than the previous fund. In February 2022, it was trying to raise a third fund of $500 million when the venture capital world was going through a market downturn and managed to raise $337 million, according to data from PitchBook.

During a major boom in the venture capital sector in 2021, Buckley was known for investing in competitive startups, offering startups better terms and higher valuations than traditional venture capitalists.

Some of Buckley's high-profile investments have failed. For example, the company went out of business in 2022, about a year after he led an $85 million Series B investment in Pakistani logistics startup Airlift. Buckley did not respond to requests for comment.
