According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rashad Hasanov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport. Rashad Hasanov was born in 1987 in Shamkir district.
In 2004–2008, he received a bachelor's degree in international economic relations from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, and in 2009–2010, he received a master's degree in economic and financial sector management from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
In 2016, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Deakin University, Australia.
Rashad Hasanov worked as an economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an economist and chief economist at the Australian Ministry of Finance, a senior lecturer at ADA University, a consultant and macroeconomist at the World Bank office in Australia, and an economist at the UN Resident Coordinator's office in Azerbaijan.
Since 2021, he has been an advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport.
