The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, established by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Innovation and Digital Development Agency in collaboration with the Technion Institute of Technology, has started registration for a new wave of trainings.
In this training wave, the Center is offering a special opportunity for the first time. Thus, among those who successfully complete the program, the 5 graduates who show the highest results will have the opportunity to participate in a 1-month internship program in leading companies operating abroad and test their skills in a real work environment.
Azerbaijani citizens over 17 years old, with English language skills and basic ICT skills can apply to benefit from the trainings. Registered candidates will be involved in the examination and interview processes in the next stage. The examination conducted by Israeli specialists will test the candidates' logical and analytical thinking skills, ICT knowledge and skills, and English language level. Then, 60 people who successfully pass this stage by being involved in an interview will be entitled to participate in the trainings on a full scholarship. Only those with the highest indicators in each stage will be entitled to participate in the next stage.
Those admitted to the program will be taught by the academic staff of the Technion Institute of Technology, based on their teaching methodology, and will be taught theoretical and practical knowledge. The training will last for 6 months, with classes from 09:00 to 16:00, and practical training from 16:00 to 21:00.
It is planned to train 2 groups of specialists within the program, namely the “Red Team” (attack) and the “Blue Team” (defense). The teams will develop their skills by participating in simulations during the training period. Those who successfully complete the program will be presented with an official certificate from the Technion Institute of Technology.

It should be noted that to date, about 300 people have graduated from the training program of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, and currently 60 people are continuing their education in this field. The Center is also implementing initiatives to increase the employment opportunities of graduates. Currently, the employment rate of graduates in the last two waves is 80%. In addition to training specialized personnel, the Center also carries out activities aimed at implementing education in higher education institutions, cyber awareness, advanced training for cybersecurity specialists, research and investigation on cybersecurity, and providing support for the development of local cybersecurity products.
