In the third quarter of 2023, the smartphone market in Southeast Asia declined to a total of 23 million units, a decrease of 4%.
Samsung, on the other hand, maintains its leadership, but its market share has also decreased by 26%, with phone sales falling from 6 million to 4.4 million compared to the previous quarter. Second-placed Oppo experienced a 9% decline, while third-placed Xiaomi saw an 8% increase.
Tecno stood out with 69% growth and sold the same number of phones as Xiaomi. This shift in the smartphone market in Southeast Asia shows that competition is increasing and the market has a dynamic structure.
