SpaceX has released its first financial report since its IPO for the second quarter of 2026. The company's revenue rose 92% year-over-year to $7.8 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $6.93 billion.
The company's net loss narrowed to $541 million from $1 billion. Loss per share was 9 cents, well below the 26 cents expected.
The largest source of revenue was Starlink. The satellite internet service generated $4.29 billion in revenue and $1.66 billion in operating profit. The space operations division generated $962 million in revenue but posted an operating loss of $542 million.
The company's artificial intelligence business is also growing rapidly. Revenue from AI more than tripled to $2.6 billion. This growth was largely driven by high-performance computing resources provided to other companies.
SpaceX's capital expenditures in the second quarter amounted to $ 18.4 billion. Of this, $ 15.8 billion was directed to the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure and technologies. The company said that investments at this level will continue for the rest of the year.
CEO Elon Musk said during a meeting with investors that SpaceX's annual revenue could reach $ 1 trillion by 2030. CFO Bret Johnson announced that they aimed to increase the company's annual revenue to $ 100 billion after the integration of the Cursor AI startup.
SpaceX held an IPO in June 2026, attracting $ 75 billion in investment, and the company's market value was estimated at $ 1.77 trillion.
