Superhuman (Grammarly) bought GPTZero

Grammarly-owned company Superhuman has announced the acquisition of artificial intelligence text recognition startup GPTZero. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

GPTZero, which operates in the United States, was originally developed by the company’s founder Edward Tian as a university graduation project. The rapidly growing platform has since become one of the most well-known solutions for identifying text generated by artificial intelligence.

According to Edward Tian, GPTZero has more than 19 million registered users and the company’s annual recurring revenue exceeds $30 million. The startup has also attracted $13.5 million in investment.

As a result of the acquisition, GPTZero’s technologies will be integrated into Superhuman’s existing AI detection tools.
