The date of the start of mass production of Lada e-Largus has been announced. According to the statement of Maxim Sokolov, the president of the Russian AvtoVAZ automobile company, the production of the electric car will begin in the first half of 2024. The production of the electric car will be carried out at the Izhevsk factory. Sokolov stated that the Lada e-Largus model is the only electric car in the country with a high level of localization.
AvtoVAZ presented the first prototype of Lada e-Largus at the end of 2022. The car will be offered to customers in two versions: one as a passenger car and the other as a commercial van.

The first prototype models were equipped with a single electric motor of 110 kW (150 hp). The car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds and its maximum speed will be 145 km/h. The electric car is expected to have a range of about 400 km with a single driver and a payload capacity of 100 kg.
The transfer of Lada Largus production to Izhevsk is connected with plans to lighten the load of the first production line in Togliatti. In the short term, it is planned to increase the production of Vesta family cars, launch a luxury sedan called Lada Aura and a new crossover on the Vesta platform.
