The first selection stage of the "Digital Azerbaijan Talent School" training camp, jointly initiated by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) and Constructor University, one of Germany's prestigious universities, has ended. 57 people in the direction of "Advanced Computer Science Skills" and 45 people in the direction of "Girls in IT" won the right to participate in the camp. In addition to Baku, the participants include young people from a number of regions.
On September 2, 2024, the opening ceremony of the second (offline) stage of the camp took place. At the event, Fuad Hajiyev, advisor to the chairman of IRIA, Alexey Gusev, head of the program, Olga Kornienko, representative of "Constructor University" and members of the academic staff of the university spoke. At the event, detailed information about the program of the camp was provided and initial acquaintance with the participants was carried out.
The program, held in a hybrid (online and offline) format, covers the second and third phases from September to November 2024. Offline classes will last 8 hours a day from September 2-12, and online classes will last 8 weeks (September-November) with 6 hours a week.
The camp is implemented in 2 directions: "Advanced Computer Science Skills" in order to prepare for international programming Olympiads and "Girls in IT" in order to promote ICT among girls.
Note that the goal is to develop algorithmic thinking and professional programming knowledge. By participating in "Digital Azerbaijan Talent School", young people will have a chance to prepare for Olympic-style competitions, admission to international educational programs, and acquire skills for a future career in the field of programming.
