The President has made changes to the "Charter of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency"

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree amending the “Charter of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency”.

According to the amendments, the Agency’s powers have been expanded, and the development of “electronic government” and the acceleration of the transition to digital government have been included in its main areas of activity.

According to the new wording, the Agency, together with the ministry, will conduct assessments of the information resources and systems of state bodies, participate in the organization, improvement and security of electronic services.

The document also includes new functions such as the transition to a “paperless government”, maintaining a unified register of state information resources, establishing a digital development architecture, and analyzing comments and suggestions from citizens.

New sub-clauses 3.1.16-1 to 3.1.16-19 and 3.2.3-1 to 3.2.3-5 have been added to the Charter, which cover issues such as providing technical feedback on electronic services, assessing compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, organizing awareness-raising events, and preparing proposals on quality standards for public services.

These changes will allow the Agency to operate more coordinated and effectively in the field of e-government and digital development.
