The gift market on Telegram has grown at an incredible pace in 2025, reaching an estimated trading volume of around $300 million. This figure, formed in just 11 months, includes transactions taking place both within Telegram and on external marketplaces on the TON blockchain. Currently, the total market capitalization stands at $128 million, with over 2 million users collectively owning nearly 9 million digital gifts.
The most striking aspect of the market is the sharp increase in the value of certain collections. For example, the "Plush Pepe" gifts, which were sold for just $30 in December 2024, are now being offered on the secondary market for a minimum of $9,700 a year later. Some rare items from this collection have even reached prices of up to $200,000. Similarly, the "Durov's Cap" collection, initially priced at $15, has appreciated to $1,420.
This trend shows that a unique digital economy has emerged on Telegram. The full integration of gifts into the TON blockchain in January 2025 has enabled users to freely manage and sell their assets. These gifts are no longer just profile decorations or expressions of emotion—they have become significant digital assets and investment tools that also reflect the user’s status.
