EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital transformation and IT consulting, has officially announced its entry into Azerbaijan. Soon, the company will open a representative office in Baku, which will not only handle operations but also serve as an innovation center focused on large-scale digitalization initiatives. A special area of cooperation will be artificial intelligence. EPAM Systems plans to apply advanced solutions proven effective in projects carried out in other countries here in Azerbaijan.
The company intends to actively participate in the digitalization of public services in Azerbaijan, expanding the “mygov” (including mygov business) digital services ecosystem, and implementing technological solutions aimed at increasing the efficiency and accessibility of these services. Through the “EPAM Campus” platform, special attention will be given to training local IT specialists and developing technological skills, as well as implementing joint projects with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and other government bodies. The cooperation will include the integration of AI solutions that automate processes, improve service accuracy and speed, and enhance user experience.
Farid Osmanov, the head of the agency, stated: “Partnership with EPAM Systems will make an important contribution to strengthening our country’s role in digital governance, artificial intelligence, human capital development, as well as ICT services and technology export.”
Yuri Antanyuk, Vice President of EPAM Systems, said: “Azerbaijan stands out as a country making bold steps and experiencing dynamic growth in digitalization. We are happy to combine local talents with advanced global experience and contribute to the country’s digital transformation.”

It is worth noting that EPAM Systems has extensive experience in public sector digitalization, having carried out projects in several European countries as well as in the Gulf region. These projects cover digitalization of services, application of AI, cloud solutions, and digital platforms, demonstrating EPAM’s ability to tailor advanced technology to the specifics of public administration.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has been consistently implementing strategic initiatives to develop digital infrastructure and support the application of e-government and AI technologies. These efforts were among the key factors influencing EPAM Systems’ decision to open a representative office in Azerbaijan. Digitalization is considered one of the driving forces behind sustainable economic growth in the country, and EPAM Systems’ arrival reflects strong confidence in this approach.
