Ultrahuman Plans to Roll Out Biological-Age Model Across the UAE

Ultrahuman, the Indian startup best known for its smart rings, has partnered with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) to develop a model that estimates biological age across the United Arab Emirates.

The two organizations have signed a two-year memorandum of understanding to develop and clinically validate the model. It will combine clinical biomarkers with data from wearable devices to assess how sleep, physical activity, cardiovascular health, and metabolism may influence the aging process.

Ultrahuman CEO Mohit Kumar said the model is being designed to work with data from various wearables, including rings, wrist-worn devices, straps, and patches. In the future, people may be able to access their biological-age results through government digital-health platforms such as TAMM and Sahatna.

The partners will spend the next two years researching and validating the model, with a broader rollout planned in phases. No specific launch date has been announced. Ultrahuman says the model will not be trained on UAE data and that it will not have access to personally identifiable information through the program.

The company has sold around 800,000 smart rings worldwide. Its partnership with Abu Dhabi marks its first step toward deploying a health algorithm at a national scale. In May, rival Oura also announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health focused on preventive healthcare.
