Websites committing cyber fraud on behalf of the President have been blocked

For your information, we would like to inform you that in recent days, various fake domains of a phishing nature have been created and disinformation about the provision of targeted social assistance by the state has been spreading among the population through social networks and messengers. In particular, fake sites are being created using the name of the “myGov” portal belonging to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency operating under it, with the aim of capturing citizens’ personal data. Attempts are being made to capture important information such as citizens’ ID card information, user accounts, and bank cards through the aforementioned fake sites.
The Center for Combating Computer Incidents of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereinafter referred to as the Center) has identified several such fake domains and, together with relevant institutions, has ensured their blocking across the country. At the same time, these fake domains have also been made public through the Center’s “Blacklist.gov.az” platform.
We recommend that citizens, when they discover fake domains, add this information to Blacklist.gov.az - the platform for protecting citizens from fake domains, use the appropriate extension of the platform in their browsers to protect themselves from fake sites, and be careful of suspicious sites and links.
