Secure cloud storage service Proton Drive has warned users not to upload family photos and personal data to artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The company said that uploading files to AI models increases privacy risks and can lead to uncontrolled use of personal data.
Proton Drive representatives stressed that end-to-end encryption should be used to protect personal and sensitive data and that users should only trust secure cloud services. The service reiterated that uploading personal photos and documents to AI platforms can be dangerous.
The company called on users to protect their data privacy and drew attention to how personal data can be used in AI systems.
