WhatsApp developers have announced the launch of the official app for Apple’s smartwatches. According to a report by a Kazinform correspondent, this means full integration of the platform with the watchOS operating system. The app’s interface has been optimized for the new Liquid Glass technology in watchOS 26.
According to the developers, users can now read and send text and voice messages, react, and use other key functions directly from their Apple Watch without needing to take out their iPhone.
The minimum system requirement to install the app is watchOS 10 or later. Additionally, the smartwatch must be paired with an iPhone that has the WhatsApp and Messenger apps installed. The new WhatsApp app for Apple Watch is already available for download from the App Store.
Previously, Meta had introduced a new Ghost Posts feature in its Threads app, allowing posts to disappear automatically after 24 hours.
