Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Smart countertop dishwasher in China, capable of washing up to five place settings at once. The device is priced at 1,998 yuan, with the price dropping to 1,699 yuan in some regions with subsidies.
The dishwasher uses an optical sensor and artificial intelligence to detect the level of dirt within 10 seconds and automatically select the appropriate washing programme. It offers eight washing modes, four spray mechanisms producing 34 water jets, and intelligent water-softening technology.
After washing, dishes are dried with hot air at temperatures of up to 80°C. Xiaomi claims a 99.9999% bacteria removal rate and a five-star disinfection certification.
UV treatment allows cleaned dishes to be stored for up to 240 hours, helping protect them from moisture and mould. This also allows the appliance to be used as an everyday dish storage cabinet.
The Mijia Smart dishwasher can be remotely controlled through the Mi Home app.
