Messaging on WhatsApp is about to get faster and easier. The company has introduced a new AI-powered assistant in its beta versions, currently being tested on both Android and iOS.
The feature appeared in the Android beta on August 13, 2025, and in the iOS beta on August 16.
The new tool is powered by Meta AI models and automatically appears at the bottom of the screen when a user starts typing a message. The assistant suggests multiple message options and adapts them based on the user’s chosen style, such as “professional,” “fun,” or “supportive.” Users can also choose a rephrase option if they want to adjust the message further.
One key advantage is that if the user sends a message suggested by the AI, the recipient will not know it was edited or generated by artificial intelligence.
This new feature makes messaging faster and more efficient, especially for users who frequently write messages or want to send professional or creative texts.
