US artificial intelligence company Anthropic has launched a new Claude Tag agent that facilitates team collaboration in third-party applications. Currently, the service is available only on the Slack platform.
Claude Tag is considered a more advanced version of the company's existing integration solutions. Anthropic plans to expand this agent to other applications in the future.
The new artificial intelligence assistant can be called in channels via the @Claude tag, and users can assign it various tasks. The agent performs tasks using the data, tools, connected repositories, plugins and special instructions of the channel in which it works.
Claude Tag joins the channel as a full participant. It is possible to create a separate account for each channel, and these accounts operate in isolation from each other. For example, an agent working in the legal department channel does not have access to data in the engineering channel.
After accepting a task, Claude Tag sequentially executes it in the background, dividing the work into small stages. One of the main advantages of the agent is its support for multi-user mode. So, all participants within the same channel can see what the agent is doing and continue to interact with it.
The system collects and learns context over time based on the channel data. In addition, it can also pull in information from other channels and sources. When the “Ambient” feature is enabled, the agent takes the initiative to highlight important information, as well as remind you of tasks that have been inactive for a long time.
Claude Tag is currently available to customers on Claude’s Team (starting at $25 per user per month) and Enterprise plans.
