Meta has launched its first-ever branded smart glasses. The company's new Meta Glasses series is available for sale starting at $299. The devices are produced in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, as in previous models, but this time they are offered directly under the Meta brand.
The new series includes the Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Meta Glasses by Kylie (Starfire), developed in partnership with Kylie Jenner. The first two models cost $299, while the special edition costs $399.
The glasses are equipped with a 12-megapixel camera, 3K video recording, six microphones and the Muse Spark model, which controls artificial intelligence functions. Although the devices do not have a screen, the battery is said to last up to 8 hours. Meta may also introduce a cheaper, camera-less version in the future, designed only for calls, audio listening and an AI assistant.
The company believes that the new products will help to spread smart glasses to a wider audience.
