According to reports, Apple and Anthropic have teamed up to create a "vibe-coding" software platform that will use generative AI for writing, editing, and testing code for programmers. Apple plans to roll out the software internally, but it has yet to decide whether to release it publicly.
This system is a new version of Apple's programming software, Xcode, and relies on Anthropic's Claude Sonnet model.
In an effort to accelerate its AI initiatives, Apple appears to be leveraging a network of partners. OpenAI’s ChatGPT is already used to enhance the company’s Apple Intelligence features, and Google’s Gemini system may be added as an alternative in the future. Now, Anthropic may assist Apple with its internal coding processes.
