Apple has prohibited Russian developers from creating applications outside the App Store and has blocked their access to the Apple Developer Enterprise Program (ADEP). This platform allowed companies to develop iOS applications for their internal users without publishing them on the App Store. For example, businesses used ADEP to create chatbots, accounting software, internal databases, and other work tools. Additionally, some developers used this platform to test consumer-oriented applications before officially releasing them on the App Store.
Apple has completely revoked Russian users' access to this platform and deleted their data from the system. While the company has not provided a specific reason for the decision, it previously stated that it operates in compliance with international sanctions.
Experts believe this ban will create significant challenges for Russian companies. Currently, there is no direct alternative to ADEP. Some Russian firms, such as Touch Instinct, have already been forced to use TestFlight and seek other corporate solutions. However, these alternatives are not as convenient or functional as ADEP. As a result, the development and testing of new applications will become a longer and more complex process for Russian businesses.
