OpenAI has announced that the Apple Music music platform will be integrated into the ChatGPT chatbot. The information was reported by 9to5Mac, citing an OpenAI executive, Fici Simoya.
Thanks to the new feature, users will be able to link their Apple Music accounts to the chatbot and control music using natural language. For example, they will be able to ask the AI to create a specific playlist, find the soundtrack of a movie whose name they can’t remember, or select songs that match their mood.
The most important point is that ChatGPT will not be limited to simply suggesting song lists — it will also be able to play music directly within the chat window. Although it has not yet been clarified whether an active subscription will be required, it is highly likely that a subscription will be necessary.
It is worth noting that Spotify integration is already available in the system. Apple Music will join Adobe, Salesforce, and other services in ChatGPT’s updated app catalog. This update is part of OpenAI’s “more dynamic AI” strategy, which automatically activates tools based on user requests.
Although the exact release date has not been announced, the feature is expected to become available “in the near future.”
