“Legions Studio,” a graduate of the “Gamepons Compass” game incubation program, generated more than $20,000 in sales within two months after independently self-publishing its first game on Steam.
The team was also accepted into the “Game Accelerator” program by Xsolla and IRIA, receiving a $5,000 development grant.
Legions Studio plans to release its next game on Steam by the end of the year.
The studio was also selected by Caucasus Ventures as one of five young founders from Azerbaijan with the potential to build global companies. The team is expected to travel to Silicon Valley in the United States, where selected founders will participate in workshops and meet international founders, investors and technology professionals.
Founded in 2023 and operating as a studio since 2024, Legions Studio aims to build an internationally recognized game development company and eventually compete in prestigious awards such as The Game Awards.
Legions Studio said the “Gamepons Compass” incubation program was implemented through a partnership between Gamepons and the Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (Creative Center). The program aims to provide local game developers with mentorship and development support while helping them access global markets.
