Jeff Bezos, the founder of "Amazon", sold shares of the company worth about 2 billion dollars. "Forbes" magazine wrote about it.
It was reported that Bezos sold about 12 million shares on February 7 and 8. One of the richest people in the world, whose fortune is currently estimated at 196 billion dollars, sold his assets for the first time in more than two years. It is noted that Bezos left this week with approximately 1 percent of his shares.
Although Bezos stepped down as Amazon's CEO nearly two years ago, he remains on the board of directors. Jeff Bezos is also the company's largest shareholder, owning 9.4 percent of Amazon.
Bezos ranks third on Forbes' list of billionaires, behind only SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk ($201.6 billion) and LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) chairman Bernard Arnault ($219.2 billion) remains.
