Russian marketplace Wildberries plans to open a large logistics center in Uzbekistan with an area of 100 thousand square meters by the end of 2026. The project will cost about $142 million and create about 7.5 thousand new jobs.
In 2024, the sales volume of products manufactured in Uzbekistan on the Wildberries platform amounted to $605 million, making the platform the largest sales channel for Uzbek goods. The company plans to launch the center in stages by the end of 2026.
The 26th meeting of the Uzbek-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, held in Tashkent on December 3, discussed cooperation in the economic, energy, agricultural, pharmaceutical and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Also, the portfolio of joint investment projects is about $55 billion.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a “Roadmap” of regional cooperation for 2025−2030. In addition, a trade and economic cooperation plan and other memorandums have been signed with Bashkiria for 2025−2026.
According to previous reports, Wildberries also plans to launch a taxi service in Uzbekistan.
