China's Lisuan video cards shipped to first customers: a new player enters the market

Chinese startup Lisuan has shipped its first graphics cards based on its own architecture to customers. According to Jiemian News, the 7G100 series graphics cards, manufactured using a 6 nm process, have been delivered to the first B2B customer in the digital twins industry. Since digital twins process sensor data in real time and model the behavior of objects and processes, Lisuan's products will be used in a rather demanding field.

In terms of the gaming market, Lisuan attracted attention with the 7G106 consumer model introduced in July. According to the company, the graphics card showed a stable 70 fps in 4K and high graphics settings in the game Black Myth: Wukong. In synthetic tests, the performance is reported to be about 10 percent higher than the RTX 4060.

However, experts emphasize that real market success is still in question. The Intel ARC example shows that driver and optimization problems can create serious obstacles for new manufacturers. The global memory crisis could also make it difficult for Lisuan to gain widespread market share. However, it is not out of the question that a new player could surprise the market.
