China Begins Investigating Apple's App Store Policy

China's State Market Regulatory Administration is preparing to launch a monitoring investigation into Apple's App Store policies. According to Bloomberg, the investigation is due to App Store's commission of up to 30% on in-app purchases, restrictions on the use of foreign payment services, and limitations placed on other app stores.

After the United States imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, China had already initiated an investigation into Google. Now, the Chinese government intends to examine Apple's operations as well.

According to allegations, Apple demands high payments from local app developers and imposes restrictions on alternative payment methods, thereby harming both competition and consumer interests. If the company does not alter its policies, China may launch an official investigation.

Following the release of this news, Apple's stock value dropped by 2.6% on the U.S. stock exchange.
