Shenzhen-based startup Even Realities has raised $150 million in funding. Meituan led the funding round, while Tencent continued as an existing investor. The new investment values the company at $1 billion.
Founded in 2023 by former Apple engineers, Even Realities produces smart glasses that are not equipped with a camera. The company says that this approach is designed to address users’ privacy concerns.
The G2 model, introduced in November last year, is equipped with a micro LED display, waveguide optics and a Bluetooth ring for control. More than half of the users of the device, which weighs only 36 grams, are in the United States. Although the company manufactures its products in China, it does not yet sell them in the domestic market.
According to analysts, global shipments of smart glasses in the first quarter of 2026 increased by 167 percent compared to the same period last year. Meta retains its leading position in this market.
