Details of Apple's M3 processors have emerged

Apple's highly anticipated M3 processor family has been revealed in full detail just hours before its launch.

Apple, which abandoned Intel with the M1 processor introduced in 2020, continues to develop the M processor family. After the M2 processor introduced last year, the company is preparing to introduce a new generation of chipsets. T

Expected to be announced at the Scary Fast event, the new member of Apple Silicon, the M3, has been revealed with many details. Mark Gurman shared the details of the new processor. According to Gurman, the standard M3 chip will have the same CPU lineup as the M2 chip with 4 performance and 4 efficiency cores and a 10-core GPU array. However, the cores in the M3 series will reportedly reach higher frequencies and allow the M3 to have higher memory configurations. In addition, the production of the M3 family in the 3nm process will make this processor a much more attractive option than the M2. The standard M3 is expected to be used first in the iMac and MacBook Air.

The M3 Pro will allegedly be used in the MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16; It will have a CPU array with 6 performance and 6 efficiency cores and an 18-core GPU array. It is also reported that the M3 Pro will have an option with 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores.

The M3 Max, which is expected to power higher-end MacBook Pros and Mac Studios, will also be updated at the event. According to Gurman, the company's new Max chip; It will have a CPU array with 12 performance and 4 efficient cores and a GPU array with 32 cores. It is also mentioned that there will be a version of the M3 Max with 40 GPU cores.

Although there are no big changes in terms of numbers in Apple's M3 family, it is said that all the chips in this family will be produced in TSMC's 3nm process. So the M3 family will be a more efficient and powerful chip. In addition, some claims state that the M3 family will also support ray tracing technology. Today, October 30, at an event in the US, Apple will introduce the M3 family along with many other Mac products.
