Google has introduced a new feature for its Gemini chatbot, allowing it to remember user-specific information such as profession or food preferences.
This feature enables more personalized responses without the need to repeatedly input similar queries. For example, you can ask Gemini to remember your profession by saying: "Remember that I am a marketing manager at Young & Co."
Gemini highlights responses where stored information is used and provides options to view, edit, or delete this data via the "Saved Information" page. Currently, the feature is available in English for Google One AI Premium subscribers. The first month is free, and the subscription costs €21.99 per month thereafter.
Earlier, in February 2024, OpenAI began testing a similar "memory" feature in ChatGPT, allowing users to ask the chatbot to remember or delete specific details about themselves.
