Elon Musk was awarded at the IAC2023 event held in Baku

The winners of the IAF awards announced at the IAC2023 Opening Ceremony today have been announced.

SpaceX founder, CEO and CTO Elon Musk has been announced as the individual winner of the IAF World Space Award. The same award was presented to the James Webb Space Telescope Group, whose teams include NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency. Stephanie Bednarek, director of commercial sales at SpaceX, received the award on behalf of Elon Musk.

Another winner of the day was Thomas Zurbuchen, Professor and Director of Space Programs at ETH Zurich. He won the IAF Award for Excellence in International Cooperation.
