Azerbaijani fintech company Epoint has announced changes to its leadership structure. Founder and CEO Zeynal Karimzada has handed over the company’s operational management in Azerbaijan to Eynar Abdullayev, who previously served as CEO of GoldenPay.
Karimzada will remain Epoint’s founder and focus on international expansion, attracting strategic investment, building new partnerships and scaling the company’s technologies in international markets.
Over the past five years, Epoint has evolved from a fintech startup into a technology platform covering online payments, e-commerce, business process automation and financial services. The company has developed solutions including Mobile POS, Wallet, payment links, QR and recurring payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Click to Pay, while also obtaining Visa Payment Facilitator status.
Abdullayev will oversee the development of Epoint’s business in Azerbaijan, expansion of its product portfolio, strengthening of its technology platform and development of its partner ecosystem.
Under the new structure, Epoint will focus on two main strategic directions: Abdullayev will lead the company’s operations and product development in Azerbaijan, while Karimzada will focus on international expansion, capital raising and scaling Epoint’s technologies beyond Azerbaijan.
