Figma bought Israeli startup "Weavy"

Design platform Figma has acquired AI-powered image and video creation startup Weavy. The company will integrate the project under the Figma Weave brand.

Founded in 2024 in Tel Aviv, Weavy allows users to create professional images and videos by combining different AI models. Users can adjust the result as they wish with tools such as light, color, angle and layer editing. The models offered are Seedance, Sora, Veo for video, and Flux, Ideogram, Nano Banana and Seedream for images.

Figma CEO Dylan Field said:

“The Weavy team inspired us by creating a simple, easy-to-use and powerful AI tool. This product presents a huge opportunity for creators and designers alike.”

Weavy currently operates as a standalone product, but in the future it will be integrated into the entire Figma platform under the Figma Weave brand.

The acquisition reflects the growing demand for AI-powered design and media creation tools.
