For the first time, 3 ladies from Azerbaijan made it to the finals of the Women In Tech ®️ Global Movement international competition!

On September 22, the Caucasus and Central Asia Awards competition was held in Tbilisi.
Women In Tech ®️ Global Movement, one of the leading organizations in the field of technology, has been operating since 2018. It has offices on 6 continents and more than 200,000 participants.
Since 2022, the representation of Women in Tech organization has been operating in Azerbaijan.

This year, for the first time, as a part of the Women In Tech ®️ Global Movement, the representative offices of Azerbaijan and Georgia launched the Caucasus and Central Asia Awards competition. More than 80 girls and women from 6 countries applied for the competition. CCA Awards were held in 9 nominations. Azerbaijan was represented by many strong young girls and women. 43 finalists participated in 9 nominations and one winner was chosen by the jury for each nomination.
In order to make the competition fully transparent, the first CCA Awards jury was invited privately. So, a world-class jury consisting of leading experts in technology and STEAM was gathered together.


These are Zarina Zeynalova, President of "Azercell Telekom" LLC, Inara Valiyeva, Vice-Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Farrukh Ali, Head of Innovation Program of "PASHA Holding", Tal Kantan, leading speaker of Forbes, Google, Tedex and top advisor, Mariam Lashkhi Member of Parliament of Georgia, Nana Dikhaminjia Head of Digital Transformation Center, Mel McCann Cardano Vice President of Doundation and Head of Erekle Maghradze School of Technology. 9 winners were chosen by the jury in 9 nominations.

Newcomer Award - Laman Aliyeva.
Laman Aliyeva is currently a 4th year student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering at ADA University. He is also a Technest fellow and winner of many local and international competitions. Laman has broad industry and research interests in artificial intelligence, including machine learning, data science, and deep learning. She was chosen as one of Google's Female Technology Ambassadors and founded the first Artificial Intelligence Club in Azerbaijan. As for his entrepreneurial experience, Leman is the co-founder of Tenter, a startup supported by the SABAH.lab acceleration center.

Startup Award - Leyla Orujova.
Leyla Orujova graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2017. For the past few years, he has been working as a business analyst at PASHA Insurance. In addition to its core business, it is trying to contribute with business analytics solutions for many foreign startups. 2022 founded iCheck Medical App startup with the support of PASHA Insurance.

What is iCheck? A guide in the world of medicine built on the basis of artificial intelligence! How does the app work? By touching the disturbing part of the body on the human model, it selects the symptoms and presents the most likely causes and treatment recommendations. Global Leadership Award - Ana Nakashidze.
Ana Nakashidze is the CEO of "AzerTelecom" LLC.
Ana Nakashidze led the company during the pandemic and post-pandemic transformation, as well as during difficult times, and achieved important achievements in the company's operations.

Ana Nakashidze has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to his appointment as CEO of AzerTelecom in 2020, he served as Deputy CEO for Operations at AzerTelecom and held various leadership positions in the private, public and consulting sectors in Georgia and globally.


The winners of the CCA Awards will participate in the finals of WOMEN IN TECH - Global Movement Awards, which will be held on November 16 this year. We wish our ladies success!


The next CCA Awards competition is planned to be held in Baku next year.
