Google removed 175.5 million ads in South Korea in 2025 that violated its rules. The company used an artificial intelligence model called Gemini to further strengthen its monitoring. It said that more than 99% of the ads that violated the rules were blocked before they reached users.
At the same time, Google also suspended 326,000 advertiser accounts in South Korea. The most common violation was copyright infringement.
Globally, the company blocked or removed more than 8.3 billion ads in 2024, and suspended 24.9 million advertiser accounts.
