SME and Islamic Development Bank hold a competition for startups

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDA) under the Ministry of Economy and the Islamic Development Bank Group jointly announce an Innovation and Startup Competition for startups.

The competition aims to support high-potential startups from Islamic Development Bank Group member countries to showcase their innovative ideas, connect with global investors, and expand their access to international markets.

The deadline for joining the competition is April 30, 2026, 15:00.

Competition stages:

- Global open call. Startups (innovation, business model, team, impact) apply through the official platform until April 30.

- Selection and evaluation. Experts from venture capital firms, financial development institutions, and corporations evaluate applications until May 15.

- Mentoring and intensive training program (“Bootcamp”). Selected startups will attend fundraising, financial modeling, and pitching training on June 13–15.
- Investor pitch and semi-finals. Startups will pitch to an international jury and network with investors on June 16–17.

Competition prizes and opportunities:

- Cash prizes
- Certificates and recognition plaques
- Islamic Development Bank Group Private Sector Forum (PSF) exhibition package
- Opportunity to participate in international exhibitions
