Huawei introduces its first artificial intelligence glasses in China

Huawei has expanded its smart device portfolio and introduced its first AI-based glasses in China. The new product is seen as part of the company's strategy to reactivate in this area and strengthen its position in the market.
According to the company's statement, the glasses, which weigh only 35.5 grams, are equipped with a chip manufactured by Huawei. The device supports functions such as voice control, video calls, live streaming, calorie tracking and payment via QR code.
This step marks a stronger return of Huawei to the market after previously introducing smart glasses with simple functions. The company will compete in this segment with competitors such as Meta, Alibaba and Xiaomi.
According to research firm Omdia, Meta controlled 85 percent of the AI ​​glasses market in 2025 and sold 7.4 million units. Sales of smart glasses in China increased 35 times during the same period.
