In August 2025, a humanoid robot store will open in Beijing’s Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone during the World Robot Conference, which will be held from August 8 to 12. According to China Daily, the store will become fully operational by November 2025.
The store will operate under the 4S model—combining Sales, Service, Spare parts supply, and Survey (diagnostics)—similar to an authorized dealership format. It will feature demo zones where customers can test robots in real-life scenarios.
Plans include establishing a nationwide supply chain for robot components and forming technical teams for assembling and repairing robots.
So far, 10 companies, including well-known names like UBTech, AgiBot, and Galaxea, have signed cooperation agreements with the store. In total, around 100 companies—including robot developers, component suppliers, and related firms—are interested in joining the project.
Additionally, the store will cooperate with banks to offer financing options for buyers, as the cost of these robots is comparable to that of a car.
This initiative highlights China’s rapid progress in robotics and its ambition to integrate humanoid robots into everyday life, positioning the country at the forefront of global AI-driven innovation.
