New programs aimed at the development of the innovation and startup ecosystem are being launched in Azerbaijan. The Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, has announced an open tender for the implementation of the “Innovation Program to Support the Development of Startups” project.
The project aims to promote innovative ideas, support the development of startups, and further strengthen the entrepreneurial environment in the country. The tender includes the implementation of 4 ideatons, 4 startup schools, and 2 incubation programs during the year. Program participants will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, product development, marketing, finance, and investment, as well as take advantage of the opportunities of open source platforms such as GitHub.
It should be noted that this tender is the largest and most comprehensive tender announced after the reorganization of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. By bringing together various participants in the innovation ecosystem, the initiative will create additional opportunities for the formation of new ideas, the development of startups, and the creation of technology-based solutions.
Such programs implemented by IRIA serve to develop a culture of innovation, promote entrepreneurial thinking, and strengthen human capital in the country. Tender applications are accepted through the Unified Internet Portal of Public Procurement (E-tender).
