Local platform HackathonHub makes organizing hackathons easier

A software product created in Azerbaijan supports the country's largest gaming marathons and hackathons. Thanks to the platform that manages all the processes from registration to the presentation of certificates, an event that previously required a team of 10 people can now be held with two people.

Anyone who has organized a hackathon knows that behind the success of an event are numerous spreadsheets and manual processes. Participant lists are kept in one file, teams in another, and judges' assessments on paper. Certificates are often prepared manually at night. As the event grows, the confusion increases and more people are needed to keep the process under control.

HackathonHub (hackathonhub.xyz) was created to eliminate these problems. It is a white-label platform that provides management of all stages of hackathons and gaming marathons and is already used at the most ambitious technology events in Azerbaijan.

All processes from registration to final report on one platform

While many tools only cover a certain part of the event, HackathonHub integrates the entire event lifecycle into a single system.

Registration and team formation

The platform allows you to create a registration link with personalized questions. Also, single participants can use a special section to find teammates before the event starts.

Topics, rules and a weighted evaluation system

Organizers can define transparent and weighted evaluation criteria in advance, form a jury and collect evaluations in real time. This eliminates the need to later merge paper-based assessments.

Live management

On the day of the presentation, built-in timers ensure that presentations are completed on time. The display of topics and leaderboards adds additional dynamics to the event. And the projector mode turns any screen into a presentation stage.

Team panels

Each participant can follow the event program, rules, the status of their submitted project, as well as the opinions of mentors and judges from their personal panel.

Certificates, Analytics, and Reports

The platform generates QR code-verified certificates for all participants, provides post-event analytics, and allows for one-click export of reports for sponsors.

One of the most important points is that the platform is completely white-labeled. Participants see the logo, colors, and name of the organization organizing the event, not the HackathonHub brand. The platform supports both hackathons and gaming marathons, which is a rare feature among competitors.

Proof: A $16,000 gaming marathon run by a small team

The platform’s capabilities were most clearly demonstrated at the OYU GameDev Bootcamp 2026 event. The two-day gaming marathon, held at Odlar Yurdu University in Baku, saw 64 participants from 13 teams compete for a prize pool of $16,000 (27,200 manat).

The event was organized with the support of Xsolla and in partnership with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, IGDA Azerbaijan and Odlar Yurdu University.

Since the prize fund consisted of real money, it was important that the results were completely transparent and fair. A three-member jury evaluated all projects in real time via HackathonHub. As soon as the last team’s presentation was completed, the leaderboard was ready.

Participants followed the event program and the feedback they received through their personal dashboards. Certificates were presented immediately.

Ilgar Alirzayev, organizer of OYU GameDev Bootcamp 2026, said:

“Thanks to the platform, we did not need two additional coordinators and saved more than a thousand dollars. Presentation timers ensured that the presentations were completed on time, the judges evaluated all teams in real time, and each participant could see their feedback from their dashboard. As a result, managing the event became faster and less stressful.”

Pricing designed for organizers, not corporations

HackathonHub's pricing model is as simple as the product itself. There is a flat price for each event. There are no subscription fees, per-user fees, or participant limits.

Organizers only pay for the events they publish. New users get a fully-filled sample event to test the platform before paying.

Created in Azerbaijan, available everywhere

The platform works on all modern browsers - computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Native apps for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS are currently being developed and will soon be available on the App Store.

The interface is available in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian, which shows that the platform is aimed at both local and regional markets.

HackathonHub is a product of the Gamepons team. The platform is powered by IGDA Azerb

It was developed in collaboration with studios and communities that actually organize such events, including aijan. Therefore, the product's functions are tailored to the real needs of organizers.

Hackathons and gaming marathons have been rapidly gaining popularity in recent years for attracting talent, forming communities and educational purposes. However, organizing them remains a complex and time-consuming process. HackathonHub combines these difficulties into a single, accessible and professional platform, allowing small teams, university clubs and even a single organizer to organize such large-scale events at a professional level.
